Taking a trip to Europe for the first time can be somewhat intimidating. Especially if you are a solo traveler or a busy professional with little time for travel arrangements. Reading books and travel blogs about your destination is important because they will give you a better sense about your destination. An informed traveler is always a better traveler, but that will not replace the tedious job of travel planning. Unfortunately not all of us have the time and experience required to plan a trip to the most minute detail. And without a good planning, chances are you will be missing a lot of interesting experiences on your trip. That’s why I want to introduce to you Trova Trip.
What is Trova Trip?
Trova Trip is a curated group travel for young professionals. The company provides all the planning, transportation and the inside scoop from the amazing guides they hire. What sets them apart from other travel companies? They offer very customizable trips at a very reasonable prices. You can choose from a wide range of beautiful destinations and they will tailor an authentic 10-day experience for you. The groups are very small, up to 20 people only.
Trova Trip wants to make travel more personal and accessible, so they customize the trip according to your preferences and pair you up with other like-minded travelers looking for similar experiences. They choose a very authentic itinerary and use local guides who can provide you with a truly genuine experience and some great insider tips. Trova Trip offers great payment plans for those interested in joining them.
With Trova Pass you can pay only $99 / month for 12 months or $198 / month for 6 months. After the last installment you can select a trip of your choice. You can choose your preferences and they’ll match you to a trip with others like you.

NOTE: Lately, there seem to be more complains regarding the cancellation policy of this company. My advice to you is to read the fine print and ask all your questions before booking a trip through Trova.
Katie
I do not recommend Trova Trip. My husband and I booked a trip for 2021 just as the world was embarking on the pandemic. Due to financial and medical reasons caused by the pandemic, we cancelled our trip (the trip was subsequently cancelled as well). Trova Trip refuses to provide a refund for our deposit (they will only provide a credit to be used by the end of 2022). We are not going to be able to travel in 2022 due to our circumstances. I find this completely unacceptable. We are in a 100 year pandemic. Companies should (and most do) realize that and be flexible. We haven’t used the money deposited in any way; so, there is no reason for the company not to issue a refund. Unacceptable during these difficult times.

I agree with you, Katie. Trova should refund your money, but unfortunately many companies offered credit rather than refunds during this pandemic.
Ana
I had a similar experience as Katie but in 2022. The trip was cancelled well in advance due to personal circumstances, and the company had exactly the same behaviour. And the trip credits can’t be used without spending at least 1.5k extra because their trips are so expensive.
There are a few posts online about bad experiences with hotels and guides, and I suspect that a lot of the good reviews are fake. I’d keep well away from them if I were you.
Anda
My post does not recommend Trova Trip, Ana. If you read more carefully, my title says “Introducing Trova Trip.” I am just making people aware this company exists. I believe it is your duty, as a client, to check out the fine print before booking your trip with them, or any other company by this matter.

This sounds like a great option particularly for those who are embarking on travel along for the first time. It’s great to have someone there to hold your hand as you dip your toes into the world of travel.

I haven’t heard of Trova before. It does really sound great for solo travelers or even college students venturing out to Europe who want an alternative to the backpacking way. I like the customization option and payment plans too.
Ruth
This may be a good option for young people wanting to get a good taste of local culture. When I was younger, I visited Europe with some particular companies catering to students and I would not recommend them to people interested in history and culture. #TheWeeklyPostcard
Anisa
Sounds like a great option for a lot of people. Are they a relatively new company?
Anda Galffy
Yes, they are, Anisa. And they use local guides.

I’ve never heard about this company. Do they use local guides?
Anda Galffy
Yes, they do.

Trova trip sounds like a great option for those who can’t (or don’t) want to spend all those hours planning an itinerary. I like the individualized and customizable concept as it is so easy to miss hidden gems with a standard, pre-packaged trip from one of the big tour companies
Anda Galffy
I think they are a great choice for single people also.
